ACCENT SILHOUETTE
VICTORIAN ELEGANCE MEETS MODERN SEDUCTION
The Accent Silhouette collection focuses on accentuating a woman’s silhouette through femininity and structure.
CONCEPT
The collection was initially inspired by an old Victorian post box found in Porthtowan, Cornwall, as well as the architecture of Victorian churches, including the colours and shapes of their stained glass windows.
CIRCULAR DESIGN
Accent Silhouette’s circular design process consists of using good quality natural fabrics and sustainable synthetic materials. All other garment fastenings and elements are sourced from quality, purpose made companies, including Vena Cava Design and MacCulloch & Wallis. Wearer’s will be buying an investment piece, timeless and able to be worn over and over again due to the deliberate high quality construction. The collection utilises the idea of mono-fabric garments, meaning each garment is made up of the same type of material; for example, in this collection that is all silk fabrics for the corset, skirt and French knickers. Creating mono-fabric garments allows for small scale disassembling to take place at a garments end of life. Deconstruction of pieces, in order to remove eyelets and bonding, allows the materials to be recycled and reused.
