A GIRL’S GOTTA DO WHAT

A GIRL’S GOTTA DO

CONCEPT

The spring/summer collection ‘A Girl’s Gotta Do What A Girl’s Gotta Do’ is inspired by young women growing up in the 2000s. Specifically aimed towards those who want to try out a new style of formal streetwear, taking aspects from the fashions of their childhood and puts them into modern and chic garments. Keeping it somewhat professional but giving a small hint of seduction along the way. The collection is suitable for a more relaxed environment, allowing the wearer to uniquely play off their childish side.

COLOURS AND FABRICS

The ‘A girl’s Gotta Do What A Girl’s Gotta Do’ colour palette is built from neutral shades, allowing the collection to remain somewhat formal. The introduction of iridescent shades continues the idea of seduction through the use of certain luxury fabrics. The collection consists of a dusty brown satin, pearlised cream flower shape quilted satin, shimmering ivory organza, rich gold diamond shape quilted satin, and finally a pale blonde orissa silk. Any garments consisting of orissa silk are lined using cotton.
